Highlight

Tra Que is a charming village located just 3 kilometers north of Hoi An’s Ancient Town, nestled between the De Vong River and the Tra Que algae pond. Blessed with nutrient-rich soil and abundant water sources, Tra Que has earned a longstanding reputation for cultivating a variety of fragrant herbs and vegetables. Among the most notable are lettuce, basil, coriander, houttuynia, flagrant knotweed, and local salad greens — essential ingredients that contribute to the distinctive flavors of Hoi An’s traditional cuisine. The village takes its name from the uniquely aromatic vegetables that enrich the daily meals of Hoi An residents, making it not just a culinary hub but also a cultural highlight for visitors seeking authentic local experiences.
